Casa Cima is right next door to my own house, which I built in a location very carefully chosen. My family and I have lived in our home for the last 6 years. I LOVE living here! I can’t imagine a better recommendation for a location than to have the designer/builder live right next-door.

Cima in Spanish means “summit,” and because the house is built on the very top of a mountain, Casa Cima is just the right name for it. The site offers a magnificent panoramic view of the town and sky. You will see the morning sunrise, the clouds shifting against the intense blue sky, the drama of storms rolling in, rainbows after a sun-shower, the town lights going on at dusk, fireworks lighting up the night sky, with the Parroquia Catherdal a visual constant, right in the middle of the action.

The house is nestled in a small, friendly cul-de-sac which is both quiet and pretty. The neighborhood, Colonia Santa Julia, is within the ring road that circles the city. Easy access to this highway makes it quick to get to every corner of town. It is a 20-30 minute walk to the Jardin Principal, the central plaza of town.

The house has two master bedroom suites, each with spacious walk-in closets. One features a traditional wood ceiling, and the other a boveda (brick dome) ceiling. Additionally, there is a third bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in closet, various terraces (for indoor/outdoor living), a large garden and a carport.

My own aesthetic is woven into the fabric of all my houses. I like to create voluminous, loft-like spaces that have fabulous natural light. The repeated stone columns & arches, with elegant metalwork, is another signature of mine. And yet, every house has its distinctive personality and style.

It’s amazing how different finishes in a house can create radically different homes. I've built houses with various styles, from colonial to contemporary. Casa Cima combines elements of both styles, leaning more towards contemporary, as it reflects my preference.

In Casa Cima, the stonework (columns & arches, exterior floors, stairs, fireplace) is a light grey cantera (locally quarried). The floors are ceramic tile. The fixtures are contemporary designs with chrome finishes. The countertops will be made of a white, quartz conglomerate. The carpentry will have a clear finish, to show the color of the natural wood. The interior walls will be painted a warm white color.
